barbara Leahy | Chief Growth Officer
Described by her clients as warm, professional, insightful, authentic, empathetic, and honest, Barbara has been in the field of Leadership Development for over 30 years. Her commitment to growth is evident in how she engages in coaching, team development, and facilitation; she creates safe, non-judgmental spaces for personal and professional exploration, as well as shares hard truths with grace. An avid reader of psychology and neuroleadership content, she is constantly learning and sharing insights with those around her, and she finds great joy in helping her clients learn to be the best versions of themselves.
Before opening Leadership Growth Partners, Barbara served organizations such as Chick-fil-A, SunTrust, The Home Depot, and others in her role as VP of Client Development at Life-Long Leadership, Inc. While there, she leveraged over a decade of corporate human resources and training experience to design, develop, and deliver leadership and team development programs. She now brings all of that energy to LGP, continuing to focus on leading, growing, and developing talent.
A graduate of Kennesaw State University, Barbara is a long-time Atlantan with a heart for this community and its diversity. She lives in Brookhaven with her adoring husband; they spend much of their time loving on and spoiling the most perfect pup, Oliver**.

Sarah Garmen | Executive assistant
Sarah takes care of all things business at Leadership Growth Partners, from scheduling to in-house financials to contracts. She has been instrumental in the transition from Life-Long Leadership, where she also worked with Barbara.
Prior to her work in the Leadership Development field, Sarah was an educator, serving students with special needs as an intervention specialist. In this role, she instructed students based on individual needs, wrote Individualized Education Plans, and teamed with parents and therapy staff in order to create the most effective environment for student growth.
Sarah also served on her school's Intervention Assistance Team creating plans through parent, teacher and team discussion for students who were struggling in an academic or behavioral area. As a member of this team, Sarah helped organize and execute interventions as well as serve as a liaison between staff members and the team.
Sarah received her Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Bowling Green State University and her Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton.
Sarah currently resides with her husband and two children in Columbus, Ohio. When she is not busy with family events, Sarah enjoys serving the community with her Ladies’ Outreach Group at church and scrapbooking.
**OLIVER | lgp’s fluffiest mascot
Oliver is the resident pup of the LGP office. He specializes in being adorable, taking afternoon naps in the sun, and prancing around like he owns the place. He loves people and finds particular joy in getting chased in circles by his friends.
An advocate of growth, Oliver is committed to uplifting others as they walk their own journeys, providing support in the form of cuddles and cuteness as well as the occasional bark of encouragement.
